As global climate change continues to intensify, carbon risk has become increasingly prominent, profoundly impacting economic and financial systems. Driven by the goals of “carbon peak” and “carbon neutrality,” companies must actively address carbon risks to mitigate potential economic and environmental losses. Exploring carbon risk from a corporate finance perspective has become a focal point for many scholars.
To facilitate a broader and deeper discussion on this topic, the seventh carbon neutrality and climate finance forum will be held on September 21, 2024, in Beijing. This forum is jointly organized by the ISETS Energy Finance Network and the Studies of Climate Finance, Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning, and Economical Mathematics. It will be hosted by the School of Economics and Management at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, with co-sponsorship from the China Industrial Carbon Neutrality Research Institute at the same university. The forum will focus on discussions related to carbon risk and corporate finance, and we warmly invite experts, scholars, and professionals from various fields to submit papers and participate.
