The impact of global warming on the socio-economic and financial systems is gaining widespread attention. The uncertainty of climate change shocks has significantly affected financial and investment activities in China, making climate risk a crucial factor influencing the stability of China’s financial system. In the context of the strategy to build a strong financial nation, addressing climate risk has become a key area of focus for scholars.
To facilitate a broader and deeper discussion on this topic, the fifth carbon neutrality and climate finance forum will be held on April 27, 2024, in Wuhan. The forum is jointly organized by the ISETS Energy Finance Network and the Studies of Climate Finance, Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning, and Economical Mathematics, and hosted by the School of Finance at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, with co-organizers including the Base for Discipline Innovation in Digital Technology and Modern Finance, the Carbon Trading and Carbon Finance Research Center, and the ESG Research Institute at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law. The forum will focus on topics related to climate risks and building a strong financial nation. Experts, scholars, and professionals from various fields are warmly invited to submit papers and participate.
The submission deadline is April 7, 2024. There is no registration fee for this conference, and participants will need to arrange their own transportation and accommodation. Please submit papers to: jiangbog@zuel.edu.cn. For inquiries, please contact Professor Geng (Zhongnan University of Economics and Law) at the same email address.
