On November 2, the ISETS-Springer Nature book series, Climate Change and Energy Transition, was launched at the second ISETS International Conference in Nanjing. This series is jointly edited by Professor Dayong Zhang of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Professor Qiang Ji from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Professor Xunpeng Shi of University of Technology Sydney. It represents a collaborative effort between the International Society for Energy Transition Studies (ISETS) and Springer, designed to provide diverse, accessible content on climate and energy topics to a broad readership.
Hosted by Ms. Emily Zhang from Springer Nature, the event featured the three series editors who presented an overview of the new series and its objectives.
The first book in this series: Climate Finance: Supporting a Sustainable Energy Transition, coauthored by Fei Wu, Dayong Zhang and Qiang Ji, has now been published. (https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-981-97-3308-8). Except for that, eight books are in the pipeline for publishing.
As an invited guest speaker, Mr. Nobuo Tanaka, former Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA), shared his thoughts on the new book series. He praised the efforts of ISETS in advancing knowledge sharing on climate change and energy transition, highlighting the significance of this initiative in fostering global understanding and action in these critical areas.
