- Dayong Zhang is a Professor of Financial Economics at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, China. His research interest covers energy economics, climate finance, banking and finance, and general economic and financial issues in emerging economies. He is the principle investigator of over ten research grants from the National Social Science Foundation of China (NSSFC), National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), British Academy, and other sources. He is the co-founder of China Energy Finance Network, president of the Society for the Studies of Climate Finance (SSCF), vice president of International Society for Energy Transition Studies (ISETS), and the associate editor of a number of journals including: International Review of Financial Analysis, International Review of Economics and Finance, Finance Research Letters. He published over 100 articles and is one of the Elsevier's list of China's Most Cited Scholars in 2020 and the World's Top 2% Scientists List published by Stanford University.
TIERS
The team for integrated energy and environmental research studies (TIERS) is led by Dayang Zhang, Professor at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. TIERS is an academic research platform spontaneously established by young scholars majoring in energy and environment of Southwest University of Finance and economics. In the spirit of academic exchange, cooperative research and collaborative innovation, TIERS is based in Southwest China and facing the world to promote academic research in the field of energy and environment through extensive cooperation.

- Dr. Fu is an Associate Professor in Research Institute of Economics and Management at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. She obtained her PhD degree in Econometrics (from Tohoku University), a Master’s degree in International Trade, and a Bachelor’s degree in International Business (from Renmin University of China). She is a member of the International Society for Energy Transition Studies (ISETS). Her research focuses on topics in environment and natural resources, household energy consumption, household carbon emission, real estate. She conducts research mainly using econometric techniques.

- Min Hu is a Ph.D candidate at Research Institute of Economics and Management, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. She engaged in the research of energy finance, commodity markets, and systemic risk. She published 3 articles in SSCI, such as Resources Policy, Finance Research Letters. She has participated in several research projects, such as the research on risk transmission mechanism and function evaluation index system of crude oil futures (Shanghai Futures Exchange), the Research on the Financialization of Energy Market and Its Influence Mechanism on Energy Risk Management in China (The General project of National Natural Science Foundation of China).

He obtained his PhD degree from Baruch College, the City University of New York, and a Bachelor’s degree from SWUFE. His research focuses on topics in climate finance, ESG, and corporate governance.

- Dr. Jiajia obtained her Ph.D in economics at a joint Ph.D program of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (China) and Göttingen University (Germany). She was a visiting scholar at Duke Kunshan University and Siena University in 2017 and 2019, respectively. Her research interests include energy economics and female economics. In particular, she focuses on energy poverty, green energy behaviors and gender equality. She has hosted the youth projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Ministry of Education in China. She has published a couple of articles on international journals such as Energy Policy and Asian Development Review. She has served as a referee among a couple of SSCI journals, including China Economic Review and International Journal of Emerging Markets. Additionally, she can speak English fluently and German well.

- Dr. Chan is an Associate Researcher in Bay Area International Business School at Beijing Normal university. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Economics from McGill University, Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (1 class honor). His research focuses on environmental macroeconomics and environmental policy analysis. He conducts research mainly using theoretical and numerical techniques such as DICE and DSGE models.

- Dr. Wang Tiantian worked in Nanjing Audit University, had a PhD degree in Finance (from Southwest University of Finance and Economics), and a Bachelor degree in Investment (Henan University of Economics and Law). Her main research interest is energy finance and oil-gas pricing, and has published several papers on these fields. She can skillfully use econometrics to process time series data, find economic and financial problems, and put forward corresponding policy opinions.
