- Professor Mian Yang is the director of Institute of Economics, Wuhan University. Mian Yang has been devoting his endeavor to the area of design on the long-term mechanism for energy conservation and emissions reduction. In recent years, he has achieved a series of innovative academic achievements in the following fields: assessment of the resource and environmental effects from energy price distortions, probing the transmission mechanism of energy conservation and emission reduction policies on regional green development, and rebuilding the analysis framework for green total factor productivity measurement. Up to now, he has published more than 50 peer-reviewed articles (including the forthcoming ones), acting as the first and/or corresponding author. Professor Mian Yang presides over 3 academic projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and 2 funded by the National Social Science Fund of China (subprojects of the major projects).
GDP
Green Development towards Prosperity (GDP) team is led by Mian Yang, professor at the School of Economics and Management, Wuhan University. GDP panel focuses on the green transformation process of China’s economy, including enterprise green innovation and beautiful countryside construction at the micro-level, transformation and upgradation of regional industrial structure at the industry-level, as well as energy and environmental policy analysis and eco-compensation at the macro-level, so as to serve the national major needs on green development and the construction of ecological civilization. The team has 7 scholars from Wuhan University, Central China Normal University, Huazhong Agricultural University, Anhui Normal University, Guangxi Normal University, and Qingdao University of Science and Technology.

- Dr. Shaohui Liu is an associate professor at the Institute of Climate Change and Energy Sustainable Development, Qingdao University of Science and Technology. She engaged in the research of environmental regulation, low-carbon economy, and industrial development, and has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals such as Structural Change and Economic Dynamics, Resources Policy, and so on. She participates in a number of national, provincial, and ministerial research projects.

- Dr. Qiangyi Li is an associate professor at the School of Economics and Management, Guangxi Normal University. He engaged in the research of energy and environment, energy and economy, and regional economics, and has published more than 20 papers in peer-reviewed journals such as Xinhua Digest, Resources Policy, Business Strategy and the Environment, China Population, Resources and Environment, Financial Research, Economic Geography et al. He presides over National Natural Science Foundation project, China Postdoctoral Fund project, and participates national, provincial, and ministerial projects for many times. He published one personal academic work and participated in the editing of two academic works. He currently serves as peer review experts for journals such as Journal of Cleaner Production and Environmental Economics Research.

- Dr. Panbing Wan is an assistant professor at the Institute of Economics, Wuhan University. He graduated from the Institute of Industrial Economics, Jinan University and majored in industrial economics. He engaged in the research of environmental policy evaluation, low carbon development and manufacturing green transition, and published several important articles in domestic top journals such as Economic Research Journal and Journal of Management World. Some of his research results have been reprinted in full text by Xinhua Digest, China Social Science Excellence, Development Research Center of the State Council Information Network and China Social Science Network. He was awarded the 6th Tan Chongtai Scholarship for Development Economics, the Outstanding Student of Guangdong Province and the Outstanding Graduate Student of Jinan University.

- Fei Xu, associate professor and doctor of Accounting, is now the dean of accounting department and dean of Business Administration department of School of Economics and Management, Anhui Normal University. He has published more than 20 papers in SSCI/CSSCI journals such as Business Strategy and the Environment, Resource Policy, Chinese Industrial Economics (in Chinese), and Financial Research (in Chinese). He presided over a project of Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He has been a reviewer of Plos one, Audit and Economic Research (in Chinese) and other journals.

- Dr. Fuxia Yang is a professor in College of Economics & Management, Huazhong Agricultural University. She is interested in issues related to green economic transition in developing countries, with a particular focus on the relationship between energy and environmental policies and (green) technological progress. She has presided 6 scientific research funds including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, published about 40 articles in peer-reviewed journals, and independently published 1 academic monograph. At the same time, she has participated in many research programs including key projects of the Social Science Foundation, the Ministry of Education and the Natural Science Foundation et al.

- Dr. Xiaomeng Zhao is working as an assistant professor at the School of Economics and Business Administration, the Central China Normal University (CCNU). She obtained the PhD degree from Wuhan University in 2018. Her main research area includes environmental policy evaluation, enterprise green innovation and sustainable economic development. She has published several academic papers in prestigious international journals such as Energy Economics, Journal of Cleaner Production, and in Chinese journals such as China Population, resources and Environment. She was granted research funding from the Natural Science Foundation of China (Grants No. 71903063) in 2019, and was awarded Dong Furen Scholarship for Economic Science, the National Scholarship, and the Outstanding Graduate Student of Wuhan University.
