- Professor Xiangyun Gao is deputy dean of School of Economics and Management, China University of Geosciences, Beijing (CUGB). His research focuses on complexity science of energy and mineral resources economics and finance. He has published over 90 peer-reviewed journal paper on Energy Economics, Energy Policy, Applied Energy, Renewable & Sustainable Energy Reviews, Energy, International Review of Financial Analysis, Journal of Environmental Planning and Management, Journal of Economic Interaction and Coordination, Emerging Markets Finance and Trade, Journal of Business Economics and Management, Resources Policy, Resources Conservation and Recycling, Chaos, Physical Review E, International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos and others. He presides the Major project subtopics and Youth Project supported by NSFC, Ministry of Education and Beijing NSF. He is deputy director of the Mineral Resources Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Natural Resources, deputy secretary general of the Complex System Management Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Management Science and Engineering and deputy secretary general of the Energy Resource System Engineering Branch of the Chinese System Engineering Society. He is also the Review Editor for Frontiers in Energy Research journal, special corresponding expert of Frontiers of Engineering Management journal, and editorial board of Journal of Clean Technologies and Recycling et al.
EECSM
Energy Economic Complex System Management (EECSM) team is led by Xiangyun Gao, professor at the School of Economics and Management, China University of Geosciences, Beijing (CUGB). EECSM aims to serve the national major energy economic complex problems needs, provide a new type of management thinking paradigm, practice paradigm and research paradigm for energy economic and finance complex system in the new stage and new pattern of our country’s development. The team has scholars from institutions and universities such as the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, China University of Geosciences (Beijing), Beijing Normal University at Zhuhai, Shenzhen University, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Beijing Technology and Business University, Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology, Hebei University, Hebei GEO University, Shijiazhuang Tiedao University, Xi’An University of Finance and Economics.

- Yinghui Ding is the director of the Statistical Data Analysis Teaching and Research Section of the School of Economics, Hebei University. He is a member of the Chinese Society of Systems Engineering, a member of the Climate Finance Branch of the Chinese Society of Optimal Selection and Coordination Law and Economic Mathematics, and a standing director of Hebei Input-Output Association. His research interests include energy and climate finance, and complex economic systems. He has presided over several national, provincial, and ministerial scientific research projects. He has published more than ten SCI and SSCI papers.

- Siyao Liu is a Ph.D. student at the School of Economics and Management in China University of Geosciences, Beijing. During 2019-20, she was a recognized student supervised by Prof. Doyne Farmer at Institute of New Economic Thinking (INET) in the University of Oxford. In INET, she joined the project ‘Rebuild the Macroeconomics’ and mainly focus on the modelling of Business Cycle. Her current research topics involve Energy Finance, Complexity Economics and Nonlinear Time Series Dynamics. She has published 3 papers as the first author in peer-reviewed journals. During her research, she was awarded the Best Student Paper in the 18th National Complex Conference on Complex Network and the Best Paper Award in the 3th International Conference on Energy Economics and Finance. - Dr. Xiaoqi Sun is an assistant professor at the Institute for China's Overseas Interest (ICOI), Shenzhen University since 2018. He got his doctoral degree in Economics from the China University of Geosciences, Beijing in 2018. Prior to ICOI, he was a visiting scholar working with Dr. Mark T. Brown at the Center for Environmental Policy, the University of Florida from 2016 to 2017. His research focuses on the applied economics field, especially Energy and Resources Economics, and Network Modeling. He also serves the Chinese Society of Low Carbon Development Management as a council member.

- Tao Wu is a doctoral student in the school of economics and management of China University of Geosciences (Beijing).
