- Professor Qiang Ji is deputy director of Institute of System Analysis and Management in Institutes of Science and Development, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ISDCAS). He engaged in the research of energy and climate finance, energy strategic management, big data and energy prediction, and published more than 170 articles in peer-reviewed journals. He was selected into Elsevier's list of China's Most Cited Scholars in 2020 and the World's Top 2% Scientists List published by Stanford University. He presides the Excellent Young Scientists Fund of China supported by NSFC. He is the co-founder of China Energy Finance Network, vice president of International Society for Energy Transition Studies and Society for the Studies of Climate Finance. He served as senior editors, associate editors and guest editors for a series of energy and financial journals, such as International Review of Financial Analysis, Finance Research Letters, International Review of Economics and Finance, The Energy Journal, Energy Economics and Energy Policy et al.
DEEPER
Data-driven Energy Economic Policy and Environmental Research (DEEPER) team is led by Qiang Ji, professor at the Institutes of Science and Development, Chinese Academy of Sciences. DEEPER aims to serve the national major energy needs and address climate challenges, provide think tank services for the national energy revolution and climate governance strategy, and deliver systematic analysis for enterprises’ overseas investment and technological innovation. The team has scholars from institutions and universities such as the Chinese Academy of Sciences, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law and China Academy of Transportation Sciences, as well as industry specialist from enterprises such as Shanghai Petroleum and Natural Gas Exchange.

- Jiangbo Geng is a professor in school of finance in Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, China. He received his PhD degree in Management Science and Engineering from the joint program of Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research (CEEP) in Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2014. His research covers broad areas of energy economics, energy finance and climate finance. He has published several peer-reviewed journal articles on Energy Economics, Energy Policy and others.

- Kun Guo is deputy director of the department of finance, School of Economics and Management, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), executive director of Carbon Neutrality and Climate Finance Laboratory, Research Center on Fictitious Economy and Data Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Her research covers climate and energy finance, big data application, fictitious economy and complex system. - Bing-Yue Liu, male, was born in Yantai in 1989. He is an associate professor of Statistics and Finance at School of Economics & Management, Beihang University. His research focuses on financial engineering and risk management, energy and climate finance, financial big data and systemic risks. His major work published in Quantitative Finance, International Journal of Finance & Economics and Energy Economics et al. Liu received his Ph.D. in Statistics (Financial Engineering) from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2018. He is the member of China Energy Finance Network.

- Dr. Yinpeng Liu is associate researcher of Institute of System Analysis and Management in Institutes of Science and Development, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ISDCAS). He engaged in research work in the intersection of management science and computer science, including behavioral big data modeling and analysis, economic management behavior experiment, decision support system, geographic information system, etc. he has published more than 10 articles in peer-reviewed journals, including an article published in Nature Communications. His researches had been funded by NSFC grant. Other achievements include 2 authorized invention patents and more than 10 software patents.

His main research interest is energy and environmental economics and policy, mainly focusing on the low-carbon development of the energy-economy system, carbon pricing and finance, and low-carbon energy investment. He got his PhD at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2014. He visited Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI in Germany from 2012 to 2013, and was a Visiting Fellow in the Grantham Research Institute at London School of Economics and Political Science from 2016 to 2017.

- Dr. Jinhua Xu is associate professor of Institutes of Science and Development, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS ISD). He engaged in the research of energy efficiency and carbon emission reduction, energy strategic management, and digital economy policy, and published more than 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals, and submitted more than 30 policy consulting proposals to national energy policy decision-making department as major authors. In 2012, he received his Ph.D with the major of Management Science and Engineering in University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). He presided over 7 national projects including the fundings from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Key R&D Program and the Beijing Natural Science Foundation of China. In 2019, he was selected as a member of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He served as guest editor of Computers & Industrial Engineering, and as peer reviewers of a series of energy journals such as Energy Economics, Energy Policy, The Energy Journal, Journal of Cleaner Production, Journal of Environmental Management et al.

- Associate researcher of the Institutes of Science and Development, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). She specializes in analyzing economic policies of a global nature such as multilateral trade agreements and climate change. Her work on climate change has focused on the nature and cost of carbon regimes—carbon tax versus cap and trade, size and composition of country coalitions, ambitious versus sub-optimal climate targets. She is a member of Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning and Economic Mathematics (SCOPE), the Secretary General of SCOPE Society of Studies of Climate Finance Branch, as well as the Executive Director of Chinese input output association.
