On September 16, 2024, Stanford University released the 7th edition of the 2024 Global Top 2% Scientists List. All six chairpersons from the Society for the Studies of Climate Finance, Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning, and Economical Mathematics have been selected once again.
The list is based on citation data analysis from the Scopus database, utilizing six comprehensive indicators, including citation counts, H-index, and HM factor, to select the top 2% of scientists from nearly 7 million researchers based on “career impact” and “annual impact.” This data provides a long-term performance measurement for scientists, offering a more objective and authentic reflection of their influence.
The inclusion of these chairpersons highlights their exceptional achievements in research output and academic citations and signifies the Society for the Studies of Climate Finance’s leadership role and significant accomplishments in expanding its international influence within the field.
The Society for the Studies of Climate Finance is a branch of the national-level China Society for Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning, and Economical Mathematics. Established with the support of the ISETS Energy Finance Network, it primarily focuses on major international frontier issues in the energy and climate finance sectors. The subcommittee organizes extensive academic exchanges and collaborations among domestic and international peers, hosts influential domestic and international conferences, and cultivates leading teams and backup research talent in energy and climate finance.
