On 16 November 2021, Clarivate Analytics unveiled its 2021 list of Highly Cited Researchers. Three chairs of the Society for the Studies of Climate Finance (SSCF), namely chair Dayong Zhang, vice-chair Qiang Ji and Yue-Jun Zhang, have been named Highly Cited Researchers 2021 by Clarivate Analytics, placing them among the top 1% of the world’s most influential researchers. Dayong and Yue-Jun are listed in the cross-field category, and Qiang is listed in the economics and business category.  

Clarivate is a company providing analytics of scientific and academic research. Among its services is publishing the annual Highly Cited Researchers list. Clarivate’s 2021 list identifies some 6,600 researchers from across the globe who demonstrated significant influence in their chosen field or fields through the publication of multiple highly cited papers during the last decade (2011-2020). The names of the “Highly Cited Researchers” are drawn from publications that rank in the top 1% of citations for field and publication year in the Web of Science™. Mainland China is second this year, with 935 Highly Cited Researchers.
